Sustainability

ATE provides a wide range of renewable energy solutions, from solar PV and air source heat pumps to EV charging, battery storage, and wind energy. These offerings help businesses meet their net zero, carbon reduction, and B-Corp certification goals, while reducing their carbon footprint and improving sustainability. Our solutions integrate advanced technologies like smart grid systems and voltage optimisation, maximising energy efficiency and savings.

How it works

We make switching to solar power easy and cost-effective.
Here’s how ATEs model works:

Flexible Financing

At ATE, we offer unique Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) that can include additional assets like new roofing or commercial air source heat pumps, all at no upfront cost. If an existing roof is in poor condition, we can incorporate the cost of a new roof within the PPA rate, meaning the client benefits from a complete infrastructure upgrade at no extra expense. This includes a 25-year warranty on both the roof and the solar PV system, ensuring long-term reliability and peace of mind.

This approach allows businesses to modernise their infrastructure and access affordable, renewable energy without the financial burden of upfront investment. Additionally, our integrated renewable heating solutions, such as air source heat pumps, can replace traditional gas heating systems. These systems can be combined with our solar PV PPA for a comprehensive, fully renewable energy solution, with long-term savings and no upfront cost.

Options Available

1 - Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)

PPAs provide businesses with a no-upfront-cost solution for solar PV projects. In this arrangement, ATE handles the installation and maintenance of the system, while the business purchases the electricity at a significantly reduced, fixed rate than standard grid prices.

2 - CAPEX

Businesses in the UK can choose CAPEX to fund commercial solar PV systems. By covering the upfront costs through company funds, businesses can depreciate the investment over time, reducing the overall expense. Tax benefits, such as the Annual Investment Allowance (AIA) and Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA), offer further savings, making CAPEX a tax-efficient way to reduce energy costs, increase energy independence, and lower carbon emissions.

3 - Asset Finance

With asset finance, businesses can lease solar PV systems from a finance provider, avoiding upfront costs. This option spreads the payments over time, improving cash flow management and offering potential tax relief.

Available structures include:

Hire Purchase

A deposit and regular payments with ownership at the end of the term.

Operating Lease

Regular payments, with the system returned after the term.

Finance Lease

Payments with the option to purchase the system for a nominal fee at the end of the term.
